"GIVING UP SMOKING IS THE EASIEST THING IN THE WORLD.
I know because I've done it thousands of times."
- Mark Twain -
You probably agree with me that smoking belongs to the list of bad habits.
In fact, it is more than a bad habit and you know it;
it's a self-poisoning addiction that takes years off your life and thousands of pounds from your pocket, all the while making you smell like a skunk and look like old parchment.
YET, YOU DON'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO PUT THE CIGARETTE DOWN.
I have weak willpower when it comes to smoking, you might say.
But is that really so?
Or could it be that you are trying to concur Everest without a Sherpa guide and without an oxygen mask?
BEATING CIGARETTE ADDICTION IS NOT A SMALL HILL TO CLIMB.
Firstly,
your smoking habit is supported by the enormous power of your subconscious mind that has been led to believe, probably for years, that smoking is good for you because it helps you relax/stay slim/be part of the cool crowd/etc. And doing something, anything, against what the subconscious believes, is HARD.
Secondly,
the nicotine in cigarettes is highly addictive because it releases a powerful chemical (dopamine) in your brain, that makes you feel temporarily(!) good. And we, as human beings, are wired to do things that makes us feel good.
So when you're trying to become a non-smoker, you're not only trying to overcome an emotional habit, you're also fighting a physical dependency.
HAVE MERCY ON THAT WILLPOWER, PLEASE.
IT NEEDS HELP.
Cognitive Hypnotherapy has helped many, many people to become non-smokers,
not only for few weeks or months, but for life. And it can help you too.
How?
By figuring out what your underlying subconscious belief that makes it so hard for you to stop smoking is - and then change that belief. Changing a subconscious belief is fundamental for long-term success.
By increasing your motivation to a level where becoming a non-smoker for life becomes way more attractive than being stuck with the habit.
By equipping you with tools and techniques that you can pull out of your pocket any time you are tempted to have a cigarette.
